Identification Please

As a working and constantly aspiring creative, it is necessary that I maintain a fluid brand identity. This week I went through an extensive brainstorming process in order to really figure out what I wanted my brand to be. I was required to Brainstorm, gain feedback, create brand marks that reflect my personal brand, create a vectorized version using Adobe Illustrator, choose a color scheme that reflects the brand appropriately all while utilizing all rules and guidelines of good design work. This branding will be used all across social media, on my website, on letter heads and business cards. A strong brand identity is very powerful and this week along with the following weeks I will be working to establish a fluid and strong brand identity.

The hardest part for me is the brainstorming. I love brainstorming with others to try to figure out what they want in their logos or their designs but when it comes to myself, I am never completely satisfied or think that it completely encompasses my personal taste and design work.   I overcame the problems by sticking to a schedule and trying to keep going with my creative flow but I also looked at examples on Pinterest and asked for critiques. This brand mark represents me because it is simple with a flare of edginess.

These were the sketches that I came up with over a period of time. There are a lot of different elements that go into the branding.

Every time I sketch a logo I then sketch five more that is mostly have to do with the first logo. That is something that keeps me going through the process. The sketch that I decided to go with was a mixture of the first and third page. I put it with a ton of different colors and I really like the pink and yellow and just plain black on white background.
